Alright so I'm trying to do this card trick....it seems to not be working...i'm not sure if its me thats messing it up, or the site is just wrong? Any help is appreciated. http://www.ehow.com/how_4406_perform-shipwreck-card.html
The sites is right. The piles start as sorted by suit, but in the end are sorted into piles of rank (ie all Kings). The way the story goes, it implies that the piles start as all aces, kings, queens, and jacks, but the observer doesn't know this because they are face down.
So how do I go about doing it, like i get to the four square deal....but then it says place the 5th card on the first card, then continue the process until all the cards are out. I dont get this part, are all the cards being placed onto the 4 intial cards layed down in a square? EDIT: Been trying it for awhile, still no luck, how am i not doing it right?
1,5,9,13 cards should end up in one pile 2,6,10,14 cards should end up in one pile 3,7,11,15 cards should end up in one pile 4,8,12,16 cards should end up in one pile
