    no more talk about us having the next shaq and kobe. thats what espn has put in our heads and we must not let it remain there. we are ROCKET fans! and might i remind you that we had our own "shaq and kobe" to begin with?


    i compare our guys to dream and clyde.

    howard is our new thorpe (i know he was the one traded for drexler).

    jj is super mario.

    spoon is a shorter harrera.

    this is a stretch but boki could turn out to be like a young horry.

    all we are missing are the guards. we could have '95 all over again!!! :cool:

    We can, but I think it would be quite naive of us to think that the national media will stop the Shaq/Kobe comparisons. Before the first jump ball next fall, I'm sure that comparison will be in every pre-season magazine (if not on the cover) from Seattle to Miami. Trades like this raise expectations, often unfairly, so Yao and TMac are going to have to deal with a lot of pressure next season.

    I like the Clyde - Dream comparison myself

    that being said... there is nothing wrong with Kobe-Shaq comparisons (they won 3 in a row), as long as it goes to playing bball - and not how they get along personnally or behave off the court !
