Now that Perry came out with his tax plan. How do you think it bumps with Cain's?

They're both idiotic. Cain's might be worse though. Because Perry gives the option of sticking to the old tax code, taxes shouldn't go up for anybody while Cain's plan would raise taxes on the poor and middle class.

I'm worried about the loss of revenue we'd see in Perry's plan. From what I understand, you have the option between the flat tax and the current system. That would mean that everyone would pick the system that keeps the most money in their pocket (obviously). With the debt growing the way it is, cutting revenue is not going to help, even if we were to slash a majority of our spending.

Both plans are pretty idiotic, but I have to give Cain some credit for putting out something that revolutionizes the code and conforms to his political ideology. His only problems are that it would never pass any congress, and it would be a terrible social injustice and a severe economic disruption if it somehow did.

Perry's either/or plan is too wishy-washy, it has no vision. All it does is put a cap on how much rich people have to pay. Has Perry made any claim to be revenue-neutral? I'd have to think we'd lose a ton of tax money in the process of his plan.

I want to reform the tax code. I think it's too complicated and has too many exceptions and provisions. But, if the options on the table are Cain's and Perry's plans, I'll stick with the status quo.

    Perry:

Cut every kind of taxes! Here are specifics.
We'll pay for it by cutting spending. No details.

Perry says his proposed tax form fits on a postcard. How original.
