    Saw Toast's post and thought I'd chime in as well with a little SSP (shameless self promotion)...

    The mighty mighty Dukes of Houston, the gutbucket blues band with the Bayou City tone, will be kicking out the nasty blues at the following gigs this weekend....

    Fri 8/27 at Christian's Totem - I-10 @ Washington Ave. - 8:30 PM until 12:30 PM. Cold beer and burgers. Might be a minor cover.

    Sat 8/28 at Rascal's Bar & Grill - 13703 West Road near 290 - 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. We're helping the club celebrate it's anniversary. Might be a minor cover.

    hey Tex,

    yall ever play on the East side anywhere?

    meaning from the East Loop out to Clear Lake..I havent checked out a good blues band live in ages, but for one reason or the other , I find it difficult to go out unless it is on my side of town..

    me and the wife were out at Joe's on the Boardwalk a month or so back, and next door is a place called Cadillac Bar and Grill(IIRC) where they have live bands play in the lower section...judging by what we were hearing that night, yall would probably fit right in.....

    check it out and see...Id love to go back there(or anywhere actually) and enjoy a night of good Texas blues..keep me informed.
