Big 12 Basketball question

    This is a question I have about the Big 12 conference tournament. There is potentially going to be a 4-way tie for third place in the Big 12. I was reading in the paper the other day that Texas owned the tie-breaker against Tech and Missouri, but not Oklahoma St. My question is, since UT and OSU split the season series, what are they using to break that tie?

    Apparently, since OSU has a better conference record within their own division (unless they lose to A&M), they win the tie-breaker. That loss to A&M really hurts Texas here.

    Oh well, does it really matter whether they have to play KU or OU? That's the only thing this affects, to my knowledge.

    Doesn't hurt all that much because we should still get a first-round bye if we just beat Iowa State.

    Besides, we really should have beat OSU at home. I wish we were finishing the regular season stronger, although the blowout of Tech was very nice.

    Who would you rather play in the second round, OU or Kansas?

    Pick your poison. Kansas is one of the top two teams in the nation, OU owns us.

    I'd take Kansas. We're going to lose anyway, might as well do it to the #1 team in the country. :)

    Seriously, though, OU vs. TX reminds me of the Braves vs. Astros. For whatever reason, they just beat us. Whether its matchups, a mental block, whatever -- I just don't want to play them anymore.
