I have a cold sore developing on my lip and I just went out and bought some cold sore medicine called Abreva. It was $14 for a 2 gram tube (very small!). Very expensive and far more expensive than any other cold sore treatment they had on the shelf. I did a search for it on google.com and couldn't find any individual experiences or opinons on the product. I have used all the other types of treatment available on the shelf in the past and they all suck. This stuff hasn't been out long as a non-prescription treatment and should work wonders for the price I paid for it.

    Anyone used it before?

I use it, it works. The key is to put it on right when you discover a fever blister is brewing. I believe it is the only medication that actually heals cold sores, rather than simply helping the pain.

I tried it about a month ago and it seemed to work well...........It says it cuts the healing time in half which is fairly close to the results I achieved. Its expensive but worth it in my opinion.........The Freak is correct, you`ve got to start applying it as soon as you realize your getting one. Good Luck
