Hejira 8. First Crusade 9. First division between Sunni and Sh'ia Muslims 10. Mongols defeat Abbasid caliphate 11. Separation of Western and Eastern Christian Churches 12. Bubonic Plague erupts in Italian cities 13. Mongol invasion of Russia and eastern Europe 14. Reign of Sundiata of Mali begins 15. Mansa Musa's pilgrimage to Mecca I have 3 other events I didnt include that maybe someone can help me throw in the right place in the list as well: 1. Taj Mahal built 2. Death of Alexander 3. Rise of Mayans in Central America Any help is appreciated
division between shiite and sunni was after the death of muhammed whether people chose to follow his step son or a respected follower of muhammed. ~ early 8th century crusades ~ 11th -12th century? marco polo needs to move a few rungs down the list...errr maybe 12th or 13th century death of alexander goes somewhere in the 300s bc? mayans 5th or 6th century a.d.? aztecs should be moved pretty far down the list. similar time period as the mayans. bleh, this is confusing. just google it!
that would be my advice as well. i haven't even heard of the fall of the great Abbasid caliphate or the reign of Sundiata of Mali. but if you won't google it, marco polo first hit up china in 1271 constantine converted to christianity around 323 i think so i would think he legalized it right around then first crusade i wanna say is 1096 but if not, it's definitely in the 1090's i think the western and eastern churches have been separated for something like 900 years so we'll say somewhere around 1100 but don't quote me on that mongols i think were early 1200's. i wanna say they failed invading japan in 1225 and i remember that b/c it's 35^2 but that may be something else. edit: looks like they invaded japan in 1274. not sure what happened in 1225.

Hey Mango, I have an excel assignment in my Computer Informations Systems class on Tuesday night that gets into macros and visual basic. Can you do it for me? Thanks.
I am a bit rusty at that.........it could be done given a bit of time to refresh. ------------------ Did you notice that I stopped after doing only a few? It would have taken only a few more minutes to finish. Back in the old days (Pre Internet)........the research method was pulling books off of shelves and reading........ much more time consumig than plugging in key words at Google People tend to take things for granted if they have never had to live without them.
actually, the aztecs came much later than the mayans. mayans came up a couple hundred years before jesus. the aztecs didnt rise to prominence until about the 1200's. really amazing considering that cortez came in 1519. aztecs accomplished alot in a few hundred years.
