Been using iTunes for years but now I'm getting pissed off with its new (recent) security features. I should have kept a copy of the old versions of it.

Windows Media Player is not too friendly either. Or, anybody has a copy of the old version of iTunes? TIA.

    is WinAmp still alive?

WMP is only good for having songs on the computer, anything else is a pain on there. If you just need something to manage it on the mp3 player, I bought a brand other than apple and it came with rhapsody which seems simple enough.

Yeah, WinAmp is still around. That's what I use. Not sure if it supports iPod or not, but I use it with my Creative Zen.
