CNN breaking news is reporting that Andrew Fastow has received a six year sentence for his part in the Enron debacle. Will post a link as soon as I can.

IMHO....he got off lightly, even if he cooperated.

In the past few months, he has been cooperating with the lawyers representing stockholders trying to get their money back from the banks.

Plus, he's done a bunch of community service stuff, especially with the Jewish community.

Personally, that is not enough IMHO to warrant a reduction from 10 years. The guy is a gonif (that's Yiddish for thief) and he needs to pay.

I do know, however, that if I ever get in legal trouble regarding a swindle, the first phone calls I am making will be to David Gerger and John Keker. They did a wonderful job for their scumbag client.

I want to see what the government is doing to (1) take his money away and (2) ensure that he will not profit from a tell all book or a TV movie.

Andrew Fastow masterminded most of the off the books transactions, hiding debt and losses for Enron as well as enriching himself. I have read numerous books and documents on Enron and it really seems like Fastow was the dirtiest one.

Fastow gets 6 years and Skilling is probably looking at 25 or so? That doesn't seem fair at all. Fastow got a sweetheart deal.

Is it at least a "pound me in the ass" prison?

    No parole in federal prison.

Besides, he won't actually go to jail (most likely) until his appeal is exhausted.
