Well it seems we can agree on something. Hopefully congress can come together and pass legislation that will put serious limitations on the court's decision. --

Left and right united in opposition to controversial SCOTUS decision

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll finds that the vast majority of Americans are vehemently opposed to a recent Supreme Court ruling that opens the door for corporations, labor unions, and other organizations to spend money directly from their general funds to influence campaigns.

As noted by the Post's Dan Eggen, the poll's findings show "remarkably strong agreement" across the board, with roughly 80% of Americans saying that they're against the Court's 5-4 decision.

Depending on what they pass, the SCOTUS may well rule that legislation unconstitutional as well. Whatever they pass, it needs to be crafted so as to not compromise the right to free speech provided by the first amendment. You can go on again about corporations not being people if you want to, but the SCOTUS was clear about their position on this topic in their most recent ruling.

Hello my Magnanimo-us friend - do you wish to make another rookie mistake and subjecting yourself to another discussion of Citizens United?

You were last seen exhibiting a fundamental misapprehension of the nature of a corporation. It was a fine thrashing that threw you off-message and eventually off-site.

Are you now going to take the line of argument that a state government cannot regulate its own business corporation laws? That seems to be where you're heading. Please say yes.

I hope it's failures will make the voting public truly aware of the insular nature of Washington, but I'm very cynical at this point.

One of the ideas floating around would be to require the CEO of any company that puts out these ads to do like the candidates and do the "I'm ____, CEO of ____ and I approve of this message"

    that would cool
