on the contrary i would argue that colonialism is the evil that started all the mess we have today in the world. carved up stupid countries that never existed and caused all the wars in the world. stole everything good from those countries and left them to rot in hell for themselves. carved up the world into the 'western civilized' societies and third world countries.

But wait, could it be that they're poor because they either have nothing or oil, and those that have oil concentrate the wealth and let the masses starve? Or that they're poor because they're uneducated and no longer contribute anything to the world economy in terms of social or technological innovation? And could it be that they're uneducated because they value religious study more than education in any other areas? Could it also be that they're not free because they have a long tradition of despotic leadership that dates back to pre-American times? That they are used to having dictators and have no real desire for freedom? Or could it be that they're not free because they do not place a high value on personal freedom as we do? Perhaps that is also why their women are enslaved? Naw, you're right - it's all America's fault. And Israel's too, somehow. They've never done anything themselves to dig their own hole - it's all America's fault. It must be, because someone - a mullah or an Imam, perhaps - told them so...

Cohen, I'm probably not as far to the right as you think. I just get tired of seeing America get blamed for every damn little problem that everyone else has. Not that we are 100% innocent - no one is. But I have no patience for anyone who implies that we are 100% guilty.
