So I purchased a 42inch LCD monitor from Newegg.com and they have it shipped via AIT front door delivery for $99. They use this service for large tv's etc. I'm just curious, has anyone ever used them?

I have no idea how long it's supposedto take. Being $99 I would hope it wouldn't be that long.

Oh yeah and my tv didn't have a tuner so I bought an upconverting dvd/vcr for the tuner in it. :(

And spent $64 on an HDMI cord! WTF?!

Anyone have any experience with AIT?

Yeah those things are ridiculous. 72 bucks at best buy, I couldn't believe it.

You can get them for like $5-$15 at monoprice.com. I think Newegg and some other sites probably have them at somewhat reasonable prices too if I'm not mistaken.

Don't buy HDMI cables at Best Buy. Or really any retail store.

dude you sound like yao ming in 1st year with the Rockets trying to figure out what moochie is saying.

    1. who cares about the tuner. get cable/satellite to get hd.
    2. you can buy hdmi cables for cheap. shop around.
    3. im sure if you pay $99 for it, they will bring it in your place.

Yeah, I wasn't worried about them bringing it in. I was just curious if anyone had used it before and how long it took to deliver it.

Yeah, I figured the cables were too expensive. I'm going to return them to best buy and try to get them online like I did for my DVI cord.

I didn't at the time though, because the DVD/VHS i bought for the tuner and to have a dvd player besides my pc was half off because it was a display. If I didn't get the cord he would have given me a bestbuy gift card instead of the discount. and I didn't want the GC. I want the price cut.
