Okay, even though I am not as "tight" with Heb as Smeg or Crisco or others like that, I miss Achebe and his funny and bizarre but always informative posts. He has become one of my favorite posters, and IMO, this board has lost a tremendous "personality" (for lack of a better word). I don't know what really happened with him, although I did read his thread, "I Have No Middle Ground with this Site". I have felt the same way, but I now feel re-charged and alot of that has to do with not posting as much. Some of you might laugh, but I have knocked my post per day average down from 12.59 (at one point) to around 11.84. I feel that I can continue to get it down even further if I am judicious about my posts. Maybe, he felt that he was posting too much & he wanted to lower the "average" or maybe he's on vacation & he is not around a computer, but whatever the reason, Achebe, if you are reading this, please come back and post. I did a similar type thing with pops, and some people lambasted me for it, but I don't care. I'm sure that people will lambast me for doing this, but this board needs Heb! Come back man...I need someone to make me laugh and talk about groups like the Cocteau Twins and my newest discovery, the Rose Chronicles. If you still want some more time off, at least email me at jfyoung@charter.net to let me know how you are doing. I may be out-of-line for asking you to do this, but I really truly miss your presence on this BBS. For the rest of you....go ahead and flame me for this request, if you feel that it's something that you must do.
maybe achebe had the right idea..... i've bee n working on collge applications formonths and they are all coming due in the next week..... problem is i'm not finished because everytimei get online to work on them i end up on this site
Behad and DoD: I know that it may be lame to do something like this, but I really don't care. I guess one of my faults is that I wear my emotion on my sleeve sometimes. I can't help it, but if someone who I enjoy reading on this BBS goes away, then I am going to let them know that I miss reading their posts. I would do the same thing for the 2 of you. Doesn't mean I would do it for everybody, but there are certain posters on this site that I would do it for. At first, I wasn't going to say anything about this, but it has been eleven days since he last posted, which of course, for me would be an eternity. So, I can be a sentimental schmuck, sometimes...so what? I don't mind it, if it causes one of the best posters on the BBS, IMO, to come back.

You really worry about your Posts-per-day average way too much... I'd say that most everyone who says something about it to you, means nothing by it at all.
Achebe will come back when he feels the time is right to do so. I don't know for sure, but I believe it to be true. Give him time.
Gonna bring this thread back. I can hear some of you collectively groaning now. Maybe he is lurking, or maybe not...who knows? However, I miss Heb, dammit! Please, come back man.
Heb is OK...They have a pretty good produce department and some reasonable prices, but I still prefer to shop at Krogers... (get it?? Heb?? H-E-B?? Ahhh, screw it...comedy is totally lost on this board )
