8 Second Call

    That call was a joke.

    I rewinded my tivo 5 times and ran my stop watch. We crossed over the midcourt line in 7 seconds.

    They got the ball and hit a 3 which put them down by only two.

    I am glad we won because if we lost, that crew would have gotten reemed.

    I'm pretty sure the refs use the shotclock to call 8 seconds. It's not a subjective call, when the shotclock hits 16 seconds, that's an 8 second violation.

    The person that should be blamed is the timekeeper for starting the clock too soon for the home team...

    Yeah, according to the shot clock, it was a good call. Willis held on to the ball too long underneath the basket.

    Regardless. The Rockets should be looking to push the ball up court.

    I never understood the point of walking the ball to halfcourt.

    Doesn't it make sense to push the ball up, to give you more time in the shot clock?
