Played brilliant this weekend and will continue to do so for us. This will shut up all the idiots that said we don't need him and wanted to have Mandzukic instead of him.

Lewandowski for free, while other clubs pay 60mil plus for unproven guys, it's hilarious how cheap Bayern gets great players. Thiago, Götze, Lewandowski, Robben, Ribery... all bought for peanuts compared to the EPL and La Liga transfers.

 

Good management by Bayern.

But I have to chuckle at Uli Hoeness who still went the trouble to avoid taxes.

I don't know the players they signed, might be talented, but certainly no big names...

 

Is the Lukaku to Everton news real at this point?

They replaced Suarez with a lot of quantity but not much quality LOL

I guess they're thinking is that Suarez's 31 goals + whatever assists can be made up by all these players together but little do they know that not all of them can take the field at the same time.

Either way they needed the squad depth for the UCL.

 

It's being reported as a done deal by British media, 5yr deal.

 

Yeah unfortunately Rodgers has said that he doesn't want to go for big names, rather would go for good system players with potential. He doesn't want to spend like 50mil+ for just 1 player and would rather spread it out between 2-3 players instead. And like FTW Rockets FTW said, we need depth. The bench we had last season was on the schitte side.

I can understand his point, but I would at least want a high profile striker to partner Sturridge with, especially since he's not necessarily made of steel. Pogba would be awesome.

So what's the news with Reus? Is he leaving BVB? What are LFC's chances now that Arsenal already have Alexis?

 

You want a high profile striker to partner with Studge, yet call for Pogba.

Pogba is a great player but far from being a striker.

Reports suggest you have the Origi deal done but he will be sent back on loan for this season.

 

I envision Pogba to play attacking mid right behind Sturridge. Just trying to be realistic since I don't think there are any available striker that wants to go to Pool. Last season I wanted Dzeko, and still do, but that's not happening. Realistically though... do you see any world class strikers that will go to Pool? Especially not after Benzema straight up said LFC isn't big enough for him (wattadoosh!).

Origi is a done deal and will be loaned back. Not sure the reasoning, but I'm guessing Rodgers still thinks he's too young and probably won't be used much at Pool this season if he were to come over. Better leave him to develop at Lille where he can get regular first team ball in a pretty competitive league.

I don't know why Pool didn't make a play for Lukaku. Dude is Drogba lite!
