Fire at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

Pool already back open....the show must go on!

 

Glad no one was seriously injured

 

Disagree - wouldn't mind if it took out a few flat brimmed hat wearing Scottsdale douches.

 

ive only stayed there once but their drinks at the pool are a bit pricey. ive been in school for the better part of 10 years. so im poor though

 

I forgot to take a pic of the damage. Will try tomorrow.

 

What were the odds something like that would happen?

 

Apparently some cigarette started it. That pool has a lot of fake trees and straw type material cabanas. Plus it's quite windy on that floor.

 

House edge must have been pretty low.

 

All reports I've read say the investigation is ongoing. The video says employee staff speculated it was a cigarette, but nothing official from the fire dept, right?

 

Didn't they all have some weird thing where the mirrors on the building where reflecting sun rays that where causing small fires?

 

The trees aren't the only fake things near that pool.

 

But isn't everyone in Vegas a little bit of a douche?

 

The ones at the pool parties, probably.

 

I know the Vdara next door had some complaints similar to this years ago.

Disagree - I was specifically referring to the trash that migrated over from the Hard Rock.

 

We stayed in one of the penthouses there last year and I lasted exactly 40 minutes by the pool. Even in a a Cabana with the mist we had it was the hottest I have ever been in my life. I felt like death. My phone even called Uncle and shut down due to heating up. That dry wind as well, just awful. Vegas in July, not a good idea.
