I kept expecting Drogon to appear out of nowhere and nuke the entire zombie army.

Clearly something like that will happen eventually.

Can you put a giant on a boat or is he swimming the entire way?

Jon Snow's sword didn't kill any regular joe zombies. That one scene where zombies were coming through the gate and Jon Snow pierced his sword through the zombie skull but the zombie didn't die.

Fire is the only way to kill them.

    Wow, what an episode.

Slow burn this season, but we're in for a killer finish.

Oh and Tyrion immediately elevating Dany's scenes. And Arya finally getting somewhere.

    Just awesome.

Awesome episode. I had to watch it twice.

    My favorite scenes

    3) Cersei licking water off the floor like a dog

    2) Tyrion and Dany feeling each other out. (after several boring seasons, she's
    interesting again.)

    1) Jon and the Wildlings vs the army of the dead. That white walker priest
or whatever the hell he is, staring down Jon was a great ending.

I'm a pretty casual watcher of this show and rarely am completely engrossed by it, but this episode did just that. In my opinion, it was probably the best episode of the series.

That battle took a month to film. Most full episodes are shot in 1 or 2 weeks.

Turn the wall into a moat. Problem solved.

I had figured we'd at least get one walker, since Sam handed over the dragonglass last time. I did not expect all of them. When those dogs started barking in the camp, you knew **** was about to get real...

You mean the CGI greenish yellow explosion followed by Tyrion chopping off a guy's leg followed by a dramatic walk down a hallway by Tywin? I know a battle happened there somewhere, but it wasn't on screen.

The only good battles shown on screen have been wildings and crowes, rather tonight or when the wildlings attacked Castle Black.

Such a great episode. The whole Hardhome scene was amazing. And now with Dany and Tyrion linked up maybe all that Meerene stuff can stop being so boring. Great play by the showrunners.

Just noticed it on rewatch, but the white walker that Jon killed strolled right into the burning hut no problem. Didn't even break a sweat. Guess heat/fire aren't exactly their worst nightmare.

I think the rules for their weaknesses are:

    Wights (zombies): Fire
White Walkers : Dragonglass or Valyrian Steel

You can slice through wights with a sword but they're already dead so they'll just come back. And White Walkers really aren't affected by fire.
