    I believe it.

There was a stretch where Dream had anemia and injuries were everywhere that Clyde really put his imprint on the team and won some games solely through his drive. It's been a while but it seemed like they played sub .500 ball and started CBA journeymen like Sam Mack.

And if it weren't for that period, I don't think the team and Clyde would've had the chemistry to trust each other in the playoffs.

No Drexler means no Asian Sensation as a Rockets fan. No Drexler means no 2nd ring. OT was an amazing player but we're talking about Clyde the Glyde here. One of the best SG's of all time.

OT was a favorite back in the day. I apprecriate what he did for the Rockets. He was a good team player and a class act. Wish we had a player like him on this current team.

How did we get OT. Was he traded to us?

That's such a terrific story. I was very conflicted by the trade. Hated to see OT go, and loved that we finally got Drex together with Hakeem.

    From NBA.com player profile:

    1988-1989:
Acquired by Houston Thorpe from Sacramento to serve as Olajuwon's complement at power forward in exchange for Kings Rodney McCray and Jim Petersen ... Worked well with Olajuwon ... Ranked eighth(9.6 rpg) in rebounding while Olajuwon led the league, marking the first time in franchise history that two Rockets finished in the top 10 ... Also made the leaderboard in field-goal percentage, ranking seventh at .542 ... Averaged 16.7 points for the year ... Scored a career-high 37 points in 43 minutes at Philadelphia on 4/2 and recorded his first career triple-double on 3/16 against Milwaukee (10 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists) ... The Rockets finished the year at 45-37, then lost to the Seattle SuperSonics in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
