We're roster space limited + if we do add someone we need a backup center badly. That being said if we had the roster space and a backup big Terry and Allen are redundant but hey if you've got the space and money and minutes sure.

Edit: assuming another big trade potentially for Dragic we will be concerned about the hard cap

Why not? One plays PG/SG and the other SG/SF.

This was the most disappointing offseason, in my opinion, in franchise history. But the subsequent moves made during the season (except arguably for McHale's extension), have me feeling a little better. Our depth was our biggest problem going into the season. We simply didn't have a reliable bench. With Brewer and JSmoove, we've improved our depth by leaps and bounds.

I have no idea if Smoove can be the Aldrige stopper we need (likely not), but he gives us the best chance at shoring up what has been a major liability over the last several years. The guy will be better with Houston than he was in Detroit; I'm sure of it.

    Way to get this done!

Can he make Aldridge work on the other end of the court
I think if Aldridge is made to work defensively . . .then his offense will fail

That actually didn't dawn on me. I forgot that opposing PFs generally use us as rag dolls...hopefully that can change.

First words to my wife when I heard the news of Jsmooth joining the Rockets.

"We have someone who can stop Aldridge."

I am guessing the 5 "No" votes are DD and his other 4 BBS monikers
