Hakeem is still among the best 5 or 6 centers in the NBA. He has played well this season when given the opportunity. It is a coach's responsibility to utilize all of his useful personnel; particularly one with as much history in Houston and respect due him as Dream.

Other coaches would kill to have Dream's talents available for their teams. Hakeem is not to blame for Shandon's slump / recovery, and this team would be better if he were out on the court right now. I mean, for all this BS about how much better of a team we are without Hakeem, check the numbers! Over .500 with Hakeem, under without him. No interior defense whatsoever without him.

As far as other proof about Rudy's coaching (in)abilities . . . see Lithuania, and Nelson, freaking Donnie. Embarassing . . .

No, it's more proof that the inmates are running the asylum! This is a players league, and will probably always be a players league. If you would watch, the Rockets were doing a decent job of utilizing his skills. But Dream is old, and he is in denial, and so are some of the fans. Dream can't get it done on a consistent basis. His stamina is limited. Dream should be a defensive player and rebounder and he refuses to do that. The Rockets have tried numerous times to make him an offensive threat, but countless times Dream drops passes, can't hit shots, gets shut down to easily by guys like Amaeche(sp?), can't run the floor, can't jump. Dream doesn't fit the system the way HE wants to fit it! You say why doesn't Rudy use him for defense and rebounding? He does. But Dream wants the ball, and with his decline in skills it r****ds our offense. If Dream is still one of the top 5 or 6 centers in the league it is more because of the decline in talent then it is Dream's talent because it has dropped off dramatically.

Drops balls? Gets shut down? Inconsistent? No stamina?

Are you sure you're not talking about Cato?

Before Dream got "hurt" he was among the most consistent players on the team this year. His hands were still the best on the team besides Steve's. His stamina wasn't great but he could play 30 effective minutes a night were Rudy so inclined.

The decline in big man skills certainly has a lot to do with the fact that Hakeem is still so close to the top of the heap, but who cares? Just wait to see how many teams are lined up to trade and/or pick up Dream if the Rockets mistakenly decide to cast him off, and wait to see what he does on a team that will let him play a little.

Rudy T overrated?? He has the hardest job at the moment. He had to find shots for Cuttino, Francis, Mo and Dream. Then he wasn't get much out of Shandon. Now Dream is out and Shandon is productive. The thing is there is only a certain amount of offence that can be spread around! That is why Mo was havin a bad start becuase Dream was gettin his touches. This is not Rudy's fault! U tell us a solution to getting everyone around 15/20 shots a game! When I say everyone I mean Dream, Shandon, Mo, Francis, Cat. Also add in what Walt and KT take a game and u'd be a very stressed man! Rudy is doin a good job IMO!

Would you rather have a 38 year old average center who's giving you like 10 points a game, or would you rather focus more on your young players who are going to have an impact for many years to come?

It's not like we're going to win the championship this year...we probably won't even make the playoffs.
