    I just don't get it.

Does Hakeem really think he has a couple of years left in the NBA? Doesn't his on the DL/off the DL merry-go-round of the last three years prove to even himself that his body is falling apart and he should just retire with dignity now? Or is he too proud of a warrior?

Let's face it, the man is running on fumes right now. Why extend your career with another team and end up looking like Muhammad Ali at the end of his career getting pummeled by Larry Holmes?

Hakeem should do the right thing. The right thing is finishing this year with the Rockets, and then retiring.
