Search 'Chandler Parsons' on Twitter. It's hilarious, lot of fans are turning on him HARD in hilarious fashion.

It's Twitter though, more knowledgable fans on Reddit are being pretty defensive of him

Hahahahahaha. Yep, they really got one over on us Rockets fans, taking Parsons like that.

You have to realize the system in Houston is completely different from the system ran with Carlisle. Just be patient with Chandler Parsons.
— Mavs Fanatic (@TheMavsFanatic) November 10, 2014

Love this. Parsons should fit easily into a system where your all-star SG and big man do all the offensive heavy lifting.

Regardless of the type of shooter he is, he shot fine for the Rockets.

It's not like Ellis doesn't pass. I've seen him drive and dish pretty well. And you'd expect he can do this lame pump fakes and drives given how Dirk is the ideal stretch 4 that we didn't have.

Tonight against the Heat, 1-9, 4 pts. Those are a very expensive four points.

Ellis was leadings the Mavs in assists last year and his career average is higher than Harden's. He is willing to pass the ball.

Parsons is 5-32 the last 3 games combined. He shouldnt even be in the starting line up right now, he's just embarrassing himself.

I wonder if there's going to be some friction between Carlisle and Cuban here because Carlisle definitely seems like the kind of guy who would bench Parsons. Hell, he benched Dirk a few years back for being out of shape but Dirk is more coachable than pretty boy Parsons who will probably cry to Fegan if he gets benched.

The season isn't even two weeks old, so I'm not going to write off Parsons, as we know what he's capable of (plus all "superstars" struggle, right?). I mean, I want to dogpile on him as much as the next person, and I'm not even from Houston (never been to Texas). The way he left without an ounce of class, makes it easy to despise him. I don't need to see more this season to know Morey made the right move (even with Ariza coming back down to earth recently). Whether it works out for the Mavs? Gotta wait a bit longer to see how it plays out for them before trolling Cuban.

That said, it's easy to see Parsons is playing in a better system and with a superior coach to anything he had in Houston. McHale deserves a world of praise for the leaps he's made this year with everything from the team's identity/philosophy (half court offense, defense first)to minute management (keeping stars fresh, one of Howard or Harden on the floor at all times), but it' safe to say Parson's never played for THIS McHale.

So why does he appear to be struggling so much? Of course there's the early adjustment/fitting in that all stars go through (Dwight for example). However, I think the real difference is that Parsons benefited from playing with superior talent in Houston... and that- more than any coach or system- inflated people's perception of him. That's the difference between the superstars and really good role players. Let's take James Harden for example.

"Oh my god, Houston gave Harden a max contract!? We'll see how good this overhyped bench scorer is when he doesn't benefit from playing with Durant and Westbrook every night, getting open looks. We'll see what happens when he has to carry his own team and face double and triple teams nightly!

Harden did what superstars do. He made his teammates better, improved his game and became the undisputed best shooting guard in the NBA. The team goes as far as Harden goes an that's a responsibility he takes seriously. Even when his shot doesn't fall, turnovers are high, he is in a slump, etc. he will find ways to contribute and help the team.

"Oh my god they didn't match Chandler Parson's offer sheet? Houston took a HUGE step back. Parsons is going to make Dallas an instant contender! What a big mistake by Houston letting him go for nothing (this part does have truth to it)".

Parsons did what really good role players do. He'll have the occasional hot shooting (like Ariza), be active, make things happen and compliment the other stars on the floor. But he's not the guy to raise his game, carry his team, command those doubles and triples. While the team goes as far as Harden carries them, Parsons goes as far as the team carries him and he had a pretty damn good team in Houston. Dwight/Harden as a combo is light years ahead of Old Dirk/Monta. That's a pretty weak big three. Parsons is not an alpha dog, or an all-star, but he's trying to play like one and the issue is he can't. So he's struggling due to the fact that he's not getting the same looks he got in Houston and his playing well is contingent on others playing well.

Overall, I think Parsons improves but Chandler Parsons has never been paid appropriately. And that's really going to be his defining legacy more than anything else. In Houston the story was "best contract in the league". Parsons was incredibly cheap which is awesome for a really good role player. He was a steal! He gave ten times the production we were paying him for and Morey looked like a genius. In Dallas he's essentially the same guy but is getting paid like a super duper star when he's really just a really good role player. I don't see the James Harden breakout for him so his legacy again becomes about his contract and how he's not worth a max deal. Where Morey looked like a genius for Parsons not getting paid appropriately, Cuban could end up looking like an idiot for the same reason on the other end of the spectrum (though the Dirk paycut softens the blow).

As the season drags on it will be interesting to see how he develops in Dallas because he certainly sees himself as a superstar.
