I don't think 3-9 is likely either, but I see how each independent game is loseable. Lubbock at night isn't a favorable venue, even if they do suck.
Current UT is just not good, I already knew it before the OU game. Just hope that this is just one year thing.
They HAVE to beat TCU, West Virginia or OK. ST. They just have to. Strong is going to end his first year with a tie in his most notable achievement: Beating Kansas and losing to OU. God help him if we lose to Tech. At least Texas fans will have the joy of rooting against whatever school Mack Brown is coaching. I still think it's Michigan but taking the SMU job in a conference he could win doesn't sound so crazy anymore. It's a state he knows. Sorry. I know no one else cares.
Dumb decision by Swoopes. He makes so many poor decisions. On the play before the 36-yarder to Harris, he should've thrown it away instead of run OOB 5 yards past the LOS. He had plenty of time to do that. On that play, he tried to switch hands while being wrapped up and just fumbled it for a return TD. Secure the ball when you're being tackled.
Texas Longhorn 2015 prospect Keivon Ramsey has officially de-committed from the Longhorns. http://texas.247sports.com/Bolt/Longhorns-Loses-2015-Commitment--32680838 Note a huge loss but not great either. There are a lot of visiting potential recruits this weekend. I hope we can impress. It also sounds like DT Malcom Brown will leave after his senior year as will Hicks despite them both having a year left. Quandre Diggs is a senior who is probably the leader of the defense. Hard to imagine the defense not taking a dip next year but maybe the offense can rebound a bit to make up the difference.
Sorry I meant hicks. They both came in together and I group them in my head. Hicks and brown are gone.
I think overall talent on defense will be down, and so will production. There are some positives though. We'll be in the second year of the system. We'll have Desmond Jackson back, so he can man the nose, while Ridgeway slides over to his more natural spot. We'll also get back Sheroid Evans, who has always driven rave reviews in practice before getting hurt during the season.
Gotta keep it going. The WV offense can go off at any moment. A clock eating drive that ends in points here would be HUGE!
Dumb decision by Swoopes, now WVU has some hope. Need to put together some first downs to ice this one. Points would be even nicer!
