    Anyone know the state of Laker's cap room and Pau's cap hold/bird rights? Could they hold up the Lin trade?

    There is protection. But details unknown.

    Heck, the deal is contingent on Lakers clearing Gasol first. So the whole trade is still unknown...:(

    I don't know if I believe those tweets. Lakers were offering Melo the full max. Lin's cap hit is only 8.3 mil. I don't think there is a probably, but I could be wrong since I have not studied the Lakers of course.
