    Bima or anyone with cap knowledge, by signing Bosh and signing Troy and Parsons subsequently to their projected next contract, what exceptions (Bi-annual, vet, MLE, etc) would we have for the 2014/2015 year? Does that affect other exceptions we have the following years?

    *Asking out of interest as to how this would impact our pursuit of "filling the bench." Of course, this does not imply that I am more concerned with little things such as bench or coach VS our last chance at outright signing a third star.

    IF:

    1. The cap comes in at $63.2 million

    and

    2. The Rox clear everybody out except Dwight, Harden, Parsons, and Bev

    THEN:

    The most the Rox could offer Bosh (or any 10 year max free agent like Melo or Lebron) would be 4 years and $86.6 million with a starting salary of $20.3 million.

    I agree. Why should any of these players take a pay cut? If you have the opportunity to make max money then you take it. It's up to the GM to make the team competitive.

    @BimaThug: Don't expect a Lin trade until Bosh/Melo situation resolved. My guess is Rockets would ideally like to work S&T for their third star.

    @BimaThug: If Rockets use cap room to sign big FA, they'd have to dump young guys, lose MLE. With S&T, can keep more players, use MLE to on another guy

    Honestly, bosh makes more sense than melo. Plays D and can stretch the floor. Plus he can guard Aldridge, griffin, etc.
