    Yes and no. Bit more complicated than that. Refer to http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q83

    If we assume Melo is signing here for ~$18M, he'd fall in category two. Means we'd have to shed about $13M. This assumes we remain UNDER the tax level even AFTER acquiring Lowry and Melo. I haven't done the quick math, but I can imagine we would be (and would be deep into luxury after re-signing Parsons). Remember, if this is about to happen, we can also withdraw Parsons' qualifying offer to clear another $2.6M or so from our cap (assuming he verbally commits to sign to us after we sign Lowry and Melo).
