Agreed. He actually got hit twice by two different defenders before either defender touched the ball.
See this is not an nba game where make up calls exist. There was contact in that first half penalty but Robben didn't have full control of it, or maybe ref didnt' have a good angle of it and you can't make up for it in the 92nd mnt. I personally wouldn't call a penalty for Robben unless i see his both legs clipped in the air instead of his arms especially when he was flopping the whole game. If he were to get yellow carded for each flop, he would have been sent off. but i agree with you on Hererra for taking G,Desantos off VERY EARLY, he ruined the game. BTW i'm not a fan of either, but i liked the fact that mexico actually exposed the dutch.
That's what I get for pressing the send button by mistake. Anyways, people who complain if it was a penalty has to know that if that was outside of the box it would be a normal foul no questions asked, but when you're in the penalty area the player has to sell that normal foul really well to get a response from the ref there.
I am curious who we will play. I prefer greece. If we did not have to play the winner i would want Costa Rica to win.
First of all, sorry to the Mexican fans. To lose a game in the knockout sstages is tough. To lose a game where you were leading throughout until the last miserable minutes is 10 tougher. The solace you can take from this is that Mexico finally has a terrific team with a very bright future.

no doubt it was a penalty. but to me, that's what is wrong with reffing in every sport. the ref lets one honest mistake dictate his next call. It should have been carte blanche after the missed penalty in the first half. No way do you call that in the last minute. let it go to extra time.
