I agree, but Robben can switch to his left practically anytime he wants. It's a weakness... but not a huge weakness. Why I'll never consider Robben a top 2 player is because of his inconsistency. However the guy is an incredible talent with uncanny vision, he can practically do it all when he's on. Wouldn't take him over CR7 but to me Robben's been a top 5 player for a couple of years now.

Sadly for me, you are correct. Like 4 years ago, the Dutch ' s style of play is one that can beat Brazil, with those lighting quick counter strikes.

This was a godsend for Chile. The group is up for grabs now.

What a goal! Completely rejuvenated the Dutch side and changed the complexion of the game.

Guess zboy pointed out the obvious.

Spain stuck with their oldies. They have fresher and hungrier talentbon the bench that they can use for the rest of the world cup. A predictability and lack of fire issue to me.

The Dutch need to reign in their aggressive play at some point, there was a real threat of some of their players being sent off.
Obviously in this match it didn't matter and Spain dives a lot more than any other team, but it could be a future problem.

Any team that trots out Fernando Torres in the World Cup deserves to be humiliated.

What an insane game. Spain could not break down a hugely inexperienced back line. I don't think Ramos and Pique could play a worse game but I don't see much room for offensive improvement.

How great would it be if Spain doesn't get past group stage? Hope Chile is as strong as they looked during qualification, a draw vs. Spain could be all they need.

    Yesssssss. Great game. Amazing.

I still do not think we will advance that far. But we might avoid brasil. And our counters can be dangerous against good teams.

Australia will be lucky to get one point out of this group. With Spain's massacre today, Chile has a very legitimate chance of advancing.
