You're douch-dom is acceptable. Chili's is barely above fast food. Very cold drafts though.

Applebee's is pretty much the same.. only they stay open later. The location in Clovis, NM turns into a club on Fri and Sat nights. Live DJ and dancing.

actually I'll eat at Chili's every now and then -- but only in airports that don't have lounges. Like Dallas Love Field, for example. It's either Chili's or Auntie Anne's...(or the beer kiosk!)

Bennigan's is making a slight comeback. Seeing them more and more, but not necessarily in HOU.

I interviewed with the company that makes the Ziosks that Chili's and Applebees uses back around 2008/2009. They used to be called TableTop Media but changed their name to Ziosk and are located here in the Dallas area. Back then they were just getting started from what I recall and were only in one restaurant - a restaurant called Cozymels near Grapevine Mills Mall. I went to the restaurant just to check it out before the interview. The food was "meh". So there you go ... they started in Texas.

Cool (real) story, sir. Texas is great. Funny how it "caught on" other places before our own self. Wish we'd do better. Too many outsiders call us slow.

Yeah this is the future. If any of you are entrepreneurs you could start a business selling this to restaurants. EPOS is the name for the technology.

I ate at a diner once where you could choose the music from a jukebox from the booth where you were seated

and another place gave me a small square electrical object that buzzed when my table was ready!

Saw it the last time I went to Chili's. Saw a little kid playing games on it. I didn't order through it (not sure if it's possible) but at the end I did use it to pay. It's really nifty. Let's you split the bill up real easily and choose your tip. Even prints the receipt their for you or email it if you want.

POS is very universal in commercial business for Point of Sale.

I know/ It is just a bad abbreviation considering the alternate meaning.

At the Cozymel's location, which, like I stated earlier, was by a mall, you could buy tickets to a movie also located next to the mall from the Ziosk at your table. I thought that was cool.

So does the one in Madisonville, if I remember correctly. Although, I'm not sure it's quite on the scale of a "real" restaurant.
