The new name for the college football playoff...

So the 4 bowl BCS format is still intact. There are just two additional bowls to house the top 4 in the country. There are still 4 top tier bowls. Just 2 less teams in the mix.

By that I mean the next Sugar and Rose bowls will have their conference tie ins kicked out to the other 4 bowls. They will instead host the #1v#4 and #2v#3.

In the 2015-2016 years , the rose bowl will feature the Pac 12 and Big 10 and then the Sugar Bowl will feature the Big 12 and SEC.

 

It can get very cold in Dallas in the Winter , as well as Panhandle , North Texas. BTW the Stadium has a roof .

 

The Semi-final games are going to be on New Year's Eve instead of NYD? That seems a bit ridiculous, especially given that it's a work day and one would have to be played in the afternoon.

 

I mean...it's SEC, so it's gonna be tough regardless, but Auburn should be the favorite going in. Road games against Bama and Georgia are the one's that concern me to a degree.
