Yeah Givens was a good endzone dancer. I use to like the Dirty Bird back in 98. The best 2 endzone dancers now IMO are Terrell Owens and Dennis Northcutt.

the words "oilers" and "classy" never appeared in the same sentence, pre, during or post glanville. it's not like jerry brought bud adams with him; adams was there from the start, running things into the ground from the start.

I always give Bud credit for bringing pro football to Houston and I will never forgive him for moving the Oilers.
I was thrilled to have a Texas team to cheer for and a loved the AFL for making it happen. I always thought the Oilers were a classy team, I guess the difference between us is ..I was there at the start and I dont remember anyone named Ric.

    uhm... OK....

i guess if firing coaches as often as you yawn, constantly hiring PR nightmares who besmirch the community with insipid, juvenile behavior, which alienated fans on a yearly basis, working on the very cheap (ask some of the older players about bud's "gift" of cattle, not to mention the many years he ran the team without a GM), threatening to move the franchise whenever you didn't get your way and overseeing a team that, more often than not, lost, and oft times, lost on a historic scale, is what you'd term "classy," what can i say?

oh, and did i mention the team moved to tennessee? yeah, you're right c-l-a-s-s-y. damn, jerry glanville and his classless ways for bringing it all down!

Oiler- Ernest Givens. Anytime he touched the ball on his slant routes he would make so many guys miss.

Texan- Aaron Glenn. No player was more excited to play for us than he.

That's true, but come on, damn near every team in every sport has a new stadium now, including this town. Well except maybe the NFL, but even if they don't it is probably being discussed in that city.

    Earl Campbell

But my favorite game by an Oiler was Vernon Perry and his 4 Interceptions in the 17-10 playoff victory in San Diego.

    Ah...memories.... I miss the Oilers.

Ernest Givens - one of the most fearless recievers I'v seen. I used to love it when he would catch it near the sidelines and do a spin move to cut it back to the middle of the field instead of running out of bounds to avoid the hit like so many other receivers do.

Aaron Glenn - Hey I'm a former Aggie, how could he not be my favorite.

That, IMHO, was the greatest game in Oiler's history. I didn't see the Championship years of the early 60's.
