Just buying tix for Friday, and I noticed that the exhibition games with the Rangers this weekend will be considered home games for Arlington's team.

Isn't San Antonio supposed to be Astros territory? Do we have a lock on any city anymore?

We don't even have a lock on Houston. I can watch a hell of a lot more Rangers games on TV than I can Astros games.

And with the team sucking for the 4 years, Rangers fans outnumber Astros fans at Minute Maid when the two teams play.

My guess is we were the home team last year...and that they simply alternate.

I assume that it is because this is a "Ranger's" event and they invited the Astros to participate.

    EDIT:

Last year the Padres were the visiting team.

Yeah that's how it goes, 10 years ago there were way more Astro fans in Arlington than Rangers fans

Yeah, actually not even a "Rangers event". This event is put on by Ryan-Sanders Baseball, and approved by the City of San Antonio. Considering both Ryans are working for the Astros now, it seems even more odd.
