Bev is a pure defender. Smith reminds me much more of Lou Williams. Very quick, likes taking shots off the dribble rather than spotting up. Not a point guard, but could be a bench scorer on the next level. Don't know if he can help the Rockets, but I like his chances.

louisville fan here but i dont see russ smith being all that successful in the NBA. hes simply an undersized 2-guard, even undersized as a 1...a la brooks.

when drafting in the second round, obviously no need to draft for need...so i wouldnt be upset if we nabbed him...but were already loaded at the PG position for years to come

If Jordan Clarkson is available in the 2nd I'd love to take a shot at him, he's a big senior (Morey likes) point guard that could potentially be developed into a nice piece. He could especially be of value if Lin is traded this offseason.

K.J. McDaniels, 6'6" SF from Clemson.

I just watched him explode for 30, 14, 5, and 3 in the NIT. He may not declare, but if he does, he'll likely be a late 1st-rounder, at best. I wouldn't be surprised to see him slide into the 2nd. Physically, he's an absolute freak. He averaged a whopping 2.7 blocks/game as a wing. He led Clemson in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals en route to earning ACC Defensive POTY and ACC 1st-Team honors.

He has all of the tools necessary to be an elite defender at the next level.

Clarkson is a junior, FWIW, though unfortunately everything I've heard sounds like he wants to declare this year.

I do think he's a Morey player, in that his biggest weakness is his outside shot and his biggest strength is efficiency and getting to the FT line.

Don't plan on him being a PG in the NBA, though. Trust me. He's a true SG who can give you a few spot minutes at PG. That's it.
