Here's something I noticed that might be interesting. In games through 12/21 (Beverley's last game before he was injured), here are the 1st and 2nd half splits for the Beverley-Harden-Parsons-Jones-Howard lineup: 1st half: 117.2 to 86.0, +31.2 in 113 minutes (13 games) 2nd half: 107.6 to 118.1, -10.5 in 112 minutes (14 games) By quarter, the net rating drops like this: +35.0, +21.0, -9.7, -11.8 It seems to suggest that this lineup plays with far more energy towards the beginning of the game, and they lose steam and/or the other teams adjust to it in the second half.
This is the ultimate LOF thread. Team plays great, Bev had a good game coming back and the whole starting unit was gelling, BUT WHY DOESNT LIN START BAHHH Enjoy the win bro stop acting like a little baby
No kidding. Bev has had his share of stinkers this season, but Lin could never do what Bev did last night in that 1st quarter on the defensive end. Besides, Lin is far more comfortable in the bench role where he can look for his own offense(not to mention he's matched up with a tired starter or inferior backup guard).
Oh look, he's a philosophizer. Are you serious, Clark? Why did Pat Beverley start? My guess is McHale holds the opinion that he's a better PG than Lin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd3PSX2397A
Beverly did not start in the beginning of the season. http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400488931 Give the man that.
lol, maybe. But I think it's because he has James and Dwight with him, Lin on the other hand plays well without all-stars.
Have you played basketball before? The starters start if they can play. They might play reduced minutes, but they start.
