Some of Tesla's songs were sort of bluesy as well.

 

Tesla is another band I really enjoyed...but you just know that the music snobs around here will be quick to inform us that they sucked also.

btw Scary...I just heard a few tracks from the Lynch/Pilson album...have you heard this? Pretty good stuff so far..

 

None, so I can see why people would call Great White "blues-rock", even though they aren't.

 

How bout we call it 'hair blues'...

I like Cinderella the best I think in that category. Tesla is more southern rock I think.

 

I guess to each their own.. I know its easy to put down this type of music now but for those of us who lived it. It was a fun ride. I know there is alot of "popular" stuff out now that I dont care much for.

I did check out the 2 new Lynch/Pilson tracks and liked them also. I always thought Jeff has a decent rock voice and of course the guitar playing is just bad a** . I wasnt too crazy about the "smoke this" album George put out a while back however, this new album sounds more of what I expect.
Honestly, when I listened to those new tracks a few days ago I was thinking I must be pretty old because this still sounds good to me.
