Johnny Football a Perfect Fit for Texans

Texans should draft Johnny Manziel
The Houston Texans finished their season on Sunday with a 16-10 loss to the Titans, capping off a 2-14 season that ended with fourteen consecutive losses. *This loss isn't all bad, though. *The Texans are now guaranteed the first pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

The Texans have voiced their hopes of drafting a long-term quarterback, but it looks like there might not be an overload of options. *Marcus Mariota has already decided to return to Oregon, and Teddy Bridgewater has yet to make a decision and sources say he might be leaning toward staying another year in college.

With those two talented quarterbacks possibly off the market, that leaves one very interesting possibility for Houston.

Johnny Manziel has starred in the great state of Texas his whole life. *He shattered records while in high school at Kerrville Tivy in the Hill Country, and then became the first freshman to ever win the Heisman Trophy at Texas A&M.

While starring on the field, Manziel has also captured publicity off the field. *He has hung out with Drake, been a guest of James Harden in the Rockets' locker room, and partied with tons of celebrities, all the while leading the Aggies' return to prominence.

Dual-threat quarterbacks have taken over college football, and have even started trickling to the NFL. Russell Wilson, Robert Griffin, and Andrew Luck can all run and pass, and have been successful when healthy. *

Manziel's doubters will cite RG3's recent struggles as reason to not trust Manziel, but the two situations are different. *Griffin is forced to carry the Redskins due to their lack of talent at the wide receiver position. *The Texans would provide a much more favorable start for the rookie Manziel.

Manziel would have plenty of weapons to work with in Houston. *He would have one of the best running backs in the league, Arian Foster, that could take some of the pressure off Manziel thanks to a solid running game. *The Texans also have a plethora of receiving options. *

Andre Johnson is arguably the most consistent pass-catcher in the game, Owen Daniels and Garrett Graham are solid tight ends, and youngsters DeAndre Hopkins, Keshawn Martin, and DeVier Posey have elite athleticism and massive potential.

The Texans made the playoffs the past two seasons, and its not like they lost talent this year. They just had huge struggles from the quarterback position, and that's why they need Manziel.

He would no longer have to worry about the NCAA and their stupid rules. *He would be able to sign as many autographs and endorsement deals without fear of suspension.

It would be perfect for Manziel because he could just be himself. *What he does best is play football, which is all he will have to worry about when he gets to the NFL. *He could tweet as often as he wants, party as much as he wants, and then roll out of bed on Sundays for showtime.

It would be perfect for the Texans because they would get the most electric football player on the planet who made his name in Texas. *He would not only win football games but he would also grow the Texans brand across the country and put fans in the stands.

When Texas A&M was in need of a spark with a new coach, Manziel was the answer. *Now that the Texans are going to have a new coach and are in desperate need of a spark, the most logical answer is Johnny Football.*

I'm sure the Texans will pass on him, he'll somehow end up in Jacksonville, and then he'll run all over the Texans at Reliant a la VY. Of course if we do draft him, he'll probably suck. It's just the way things go for us Texans fans.

What a garbage article. So, according to this guy, manziel would be a perfect fit for the texans bc he is:

- from Texas
- doesn't have to worry about the NCAA
- can continue hanging out w drake and lebron
- he can grow the texans brand
- the texans have offensive talent

Astounding analysis right there.

pretty cool that both times the Texans have had the top pick (not counting expansion draft), there's been a QB from Texas with a very successful college career.
