after robinson, we need to move one more player. no getting around it.

on principal, it would be best to offer him the max, not a few 100k short of the max.

I actually think it's quite the opposite. We view Lin as an average PG, but to a lot of other teams Lin is a more than capable PG, that is a complete cash cow for marketing and revenue, PLUS he is an expiring contract for about 8.4 mil. I think there are a few teams who would take him, but what would we get in return? Beverly is good, but can we honestly win it all with him and a guy like Aaron Brooks as our PG's?

Hopefully DH willing take little less super max otherwise I think either Asik or Lin needs to be moved.

    Otherwise

Trading both T-Rob and White (will have give money and possible a pick to entice another GM) and waiving Greg Smith would get Rocket over 20.5 hump.

Royce is completely delusional. I'm starting to think his mental issues extend beyond anxiety.

Don't understand. Why nit trade Asik to clear cap space? Asik is doing the same thing as Howard, that's a waste. Lin is the the main PG. Very strange logic.

The cap space is not a problem, trust in Morey who has detail plan A, plan B, plan C,etc
The only problem is whether or not Howard would come to Houston

Would Les play the luxury tax if we aren't able to move Thomas Robinson?

It is not a matter of luxury tax, you need cap space to sign free agents on the open market....

It's not really a risk at all, he's an expiring contract, so if a team has guys they want to get off of their books, they would love to bring in JLin for a year or 2 to do that. And also it would've cost the Knicks 20 mil for the last 2 seasons of JLin, but for everybody else it's only 16.8 mil.
