5 Alarm Fire in Southwest Houston kills 4 Firefighters

Dam I have fire training starting Monday. My prayers go out. Hopefully I can make a donation at Texas A M fire school. Sad

i went to high school with that robert gardner guy. he used to hang with a couple people i knew. didnt know him personally..

Drove by it on my way home from work today, the blaze was enormous. People I know were friends with Robert Garner posting it all over Facebook. So terrible.

 

OMG, my condolences goes out to the family that's affected by this, just sad.. Seriously they were giving free food in return to bypass inspection??? You gotta follow rules/protocol. You can't screw around like that, how many restaurants you think that's doing this now?? I bet there are a lot out there that's doing this **** on the down low and it discuss me...

I drove past it last nite and said it smelled like death, little did I know what had took place. Sad, beyond words. Those folks are true heroes.

 

Last night I was eating on Holcombe just outside of the Medical Center when a procession of fire trucks and police cars came through, leading and following a group of ambulances. I had just read that 4 firefighters had died when I had looked up and saw them. I've never seen anything like it in this city before.

 

That restaurant was not that great and motel behind there was shady.

 

Drove by this afternoon...still a bunch of emergency vehicles, stalled traffic, and a burned out building.

 

I did too, there were firefighters going in and out of the building and TV News crews.

That hotel has been a public nuisance for 20 plus years.

 

Last night I was stuck in traffic for like 2 hours because there was a huge fire... I counted 12 firetrucks and countless ambulances (different location). I was getting all pissy but then I remembered the firefighters risking their lives and the people who had just lost everything they own and my little 2 hours waiting in my car listening to my favorite songs wasn't so bad.

RIP to the firefighters.
