I just formatted my computer, and I only have the crappy colors (2 colors or 16 colors) now... I think I need to install some sort of Graphics driver? On my graphic something in the computer, it says S3 Trio3D/2X if that helps any... I want to know how I can get my old colors back...High color and True Color.... Help me out please.
I assume it's a Windows PC? If so, right-click the desktop, click on properties, click on settings tab, and then see if there are more color settings available in the "Colors" drop-down box. If not, you're probably right about the driver. Sometimes drivers are available on the Windows CD-ROM, but they can also be downloaded from the internet if you know the maker/version of the device.
Sane, yes..that is a drivers issue. but that card is pretty old so Im not sure how easy it will be to find drivers for it. Im am looking for them as I type. If I dont find them right now, I have drives fror that card stored at home. Ill have to get them to you later(Im at work now)
damn...no edit go here to get a utility that will tell you exactly what card you have... then you can go here to get the drivers if it is indeed a S3 based card good luck

you are lucky then...in the past when this has happened to me....it was 16 colors and 640x480...yuch nasty ugly picture! good deal Sane...no prob.
