    It took me about 30 minutes to decide which pitcher I wanted. I almost took Pedro, but I looked at Johnson's innings and k's and I just couldn't say no. This decision may come back to haunt me, but the numbers were in J's favor so I locked him in.

    Man, you guys are moving slow! I knew Vladamir would never last til my pick :( Should we propose a 12-14 hour window for everyone to pick before having a backup make the pick?

    Also, I will have some access to a computer, so there is no need to use my cell.

    We have a lot of time, so it's probably not necessary, but it might make things go faster if we scheduled a time in chat in the next week to knock out a few rounds. We'll finish either way, but it would speed things up. If any of you want to, suggest some times... I could probably be available for most of them.

    Hey ya'll just to let everybody know...The wait on my pick was literally through an act of God. As you may have read we had an ice storm in Winston-Salem. Haven't had electricity since Thur. morning. Just got it back an hour ago.

    I read an e-mail from Fadeaway, and he was of the opinion that ya'll waned a replacement to get things moving. If that the case, I understand, but just wanted to give the FYI that there wasn't a whole lot I could do.

    Sorry to hear about the ice storm.

    We were all just wondering how much time you could commit because I know you're really busy with school and such. If you are able to make your picks within 10 hours or so, then there shouldn't be a problem. If not, then we could get a replacement. It really depends on how much time you have to offer.

    From here on out, it shouldn't be a problem. I'll be able to look in by around at least three times a day (as in afternoon, evening, late evening) so there shouldn't be a huge gap. It just won't be like past years when I would have instant access from the office. Still it shouldn't be a major impediment.

    Cool. Well, as long as you can make picks within 10-12 hours, then everything's fine with me.

    Since my man Vlad is long gone, I'll take Albert Pujols. He's the best third baseman in the game and a top five outfielder.
