    Actually, whom is correct. Think of it this way: you wouldn't write this generations Burt Reynolds is who? It would be this generations Burt Reynolds is whom. :)

    what??? No way, man. ^ The question was actually: "Whom is this generations Burt Reynolds?"

    "WHO" is doing the "is" action, sir. :eek:

    Correcting the entire sentence would be: "Who is this generation's Burt Reynolds?"

    You could easily insert the name of the Burt Reynolds of this generation instead of "who" and make it a declarative sentence:
    "Robert Downey Jr. is this generation's Burt Reynolds, whom we all like." (WE is the subject and Burt Reynolds is the object)
