Good news. I'm surprised Taylor isn't on the list, he's been solid for us and is worth more than he's making. It seems like now would be a good time to reward him for his play and lock him up for a while. I didn't expect Deric to be on the list. I don't see him taking the starting spot from Hall and I figured he'd want to test the waters and try to win a starting job somewhere. I'm glad he's sticking around though, it's nice to have a quality backup.

MLS announced the home openers for each team in the 2013 season. The Dynamo will play their 1st home game on Saturday, March 2 against DC United. http://www.chron.com/sports/dynamo/article/Dynamo-to-host-D-C-United-in-2013-season-opener-4127741.php
Darrell Lovell @DarrellLovell Hearing the @HoustonDynamo have finalized a move for a forward. Move will be official this weekend or early next week at the latest. holy ****, dp2? Drogba:grin:
Darrell Lovell @DarrellLovell Also, hearing the Dynamo have restructured Giles Barnes' contract to keep him in Houston. Midfield stays intact from last year.
Smart moves by the Dynamo to keep guys like Barnes and Camargo here. In a league that has a ton of turnover each and every year, bringing back a team mostly intact can be a huge advantage.
After taking some time with the decision Brian Ching has decided to come back for another season. He's nothing more than a bit player at this point, but it's good for continuity and leadership. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/2012/12/31/dynamo-veteran-ching-will-return-12th-mls-season
Only if he knows he can make a contribution to the team. Otherwise, ummm... I'm thinking he was averaging less than one quarter of a game in the last few games AND the playoffs... and he wasn't helping much.
This is like what happened to Jeff Bagwell during his last years with the Astros. He went to being a pinch-hitter because of his knee injuries and he can't field at first base anymore.
Ching played really well off the bench last year. He was statistically just as productive off the bench in limited minutes as when he was a full time starter the previous year. It's great to be able to bring a guy like him in for the final 15 minutes

I do believe he's been capped before though.
I think you mean about time for Tally Hall. Brad's been capped before. Nothing special on the International level but this is a chance for him to show Klinsy something. Good for Bruin as well I guess but I'm more psyched for Tally. Tally has deserved the camp invite for a while.
Totally agree. Hall has deserved the call for 2 years. Surprised by Bruin. Doesn't seem like the type of froward Klinsmann would typically call in. Glad to see Davis get another shot.
