Kevin McHale's daughter Sasha has passed away

I'm saddened to hear this. My thoughts and prayers to McHale's family.

Heard about Lupus from watching ANTM years ago. I've made a donation to Lupus foundation.

My condolences to McHale and his family. I hope he takes off as much time as needed and doesn't try to come back too soon.

I hope the team can do something in her honor, but i wouldn't dedicate the season to her. The team just isn't good enough to expect a great/winning season. Maybe donate X amount of money to her favorite cause/charity for every rebound we get, things like that.

 

must be an unbearable pain for McHale. so sad.

So sad. One of my high school friends just died of lupus as well, two weeks ago. She left behind 3 kids and she was only 26.

 

This makes me so sad, especially since she is close to my age, I can't imagine how McHale's family must feel. I hope they can pull through.

 

really unfortunate. as a 22 year old myself, this i cannot imagine if one of my friends passed at such a young age.

 

Really puts things in perspective! 22 is way too young to go! I can't begin to imagine what Kevin and his family is going through!

I hope this team can do something special for her!

 

Sorry to hear this news. For a bright, young woman to be taken away at her age. My deepest condolences go out to the McHale family. Keep strong Coach, we are all behind you.

 

This is my thoughts exactly.. Didnt know how to really reply to this thread, cause I really have no words. I hate to hear of anyone passing away at any age. I have a 8 month cousin passed in June. It's unbearable being on the outside looking in, so I can only imagine being so close.

 

That is truly unfortunate. I wouldn't know how I would ever take basketball seriously if I was in this situation.

I do not see McHale coming back this season....I'm not a parent but if I was basketball would be the last thing on my mind...Prayers go up for his family!!! Love one another cause you never know
