I am going to be plugging in my second printer and my digital camera, in addition to possibly a MP3 player in the future (that Apple deal looks pretty sweet).

What am I looking for? How much?

you can get a 4 port hub for about $20 but you're gonna want one with an AC adapter, so figure in another $10 - $20 for an ac adapter, most don't come with them, unless you buy a nice one and then they probably start at $30-$40...

the reason i say to get one with an AC adapter is because I have a 4 port hub and if I plug in more than 2 things, i get an error message saying not enough power to support all plugged in items.

either way you shouldn't spend more than $50

    good luck,
let us know what you get.

I got this 4port powered Belkin for 24.95 at Best Buy last weekend. Same price at Belkin's website - here.

The good old Belkin economy hub. Yes, it's a good product, but not at $24.95. I've seen these things go for $10 at Compusa.

Hey that's exactly what I bought 2 weeks ago.

    Works great!!!

I was deciding between that one and upgrading to USB 2, but I figured it wasn't worth it.

I mean, I don't really notice a big speed difference.

    Cool. Thanks guys....

I picked up the Belkin 4 port w/ AC Adaptor $25.00

I had to get an inkjet cartridge for my HP 932.

WOW  $30.00 for friggin ink?!?!?

Of course that old one had not been replaced in 3 years so I guess thats not a bad deal....

Yeah mine isn't bad, but my printer won't work through it. I have to hook it directly to the PC, but my mouse/camera/etc work fine through the hub.

Yeah, and don't use refilled ink carts on printers when you take them to get serviced.

Cannon refused to do service warranty work because when I took it in, the first thing the guy looked at was the ink cartridges and he said he could not honor the warranty.

So if you refill your carts, take them out before taking a printer to get fixed.

I should have just bought an HP and it wouldn't have to been fixed.
