    the lower the pressure the stronger the storm is.

    Oh, gotcha! Looks like the landfall time has been pushed to 5-6pm instead of 9pm. I think it is a good thing because it's not hitting during high tide, right?

    For those of you saying that Ike was worse consider that Ike didn't have the possibility of snow with it. What makes Sandy a Frankenstorm is that it is combining with an early winter system and could bring a lot of snow and freezing temperatures inland. While losing your AC sucks try riding out a snowstorm with hurricane force winds possibly without power and heat.

    Unless you can go sit by a fire. In houston you have a 100 degree weather + 100% humidity.

    I'd take no power with cold than no power with 100 degree heat, 100% humidity and mosquito's 10 times out of 10. Give me some Bourbon and a blanket and I'd be fine.
