    people walk off a torn acl all the time. i did it when i tore mine on the basketball court. walked to my car and drove home.

    There are several cases where players can walk on their own power after tearing an ACL. They can never make a cut again though until they get surgery though.

    You can even run straight on a torn ACL. Its lateral movement that you cant do.

    may not be the entire season if it just the ACL...but it will be for most of the reg season...
    and some ACL tears wont need surgery...expect to hear differnt news in the morning whether good or bad...best of luck Cush....

    you don't need surgery if you just want to run straight. unfortunately, playing in the NFL requires hard cuts and pivots. he's going to need surgery which means he's out for the year

    no.. with a torn acl you can't cut side to side.. you can still walk though... don't the texans get accused of doing the same on offense? i remember a defensive player complaining about something like that last year about one of our offensive lineman

    Man that sucks if he is out for season, he is the heart of the defense and let's hope someone else can step up.
