From the Republican National Committee ... a survey on my views as a Republican. I found this snippet particularly interesting:

"You are among a select group of Republicans who have been chosen to take part in the official Census of the Republican Party."

    (random stuff)

"Because it is cost prohibitive for the Republican Party to print and mail an official Republican Party Census to each and every one of the 55,000,000 Republicans nationwide ...

... your answers will represent the views and opinions of all Republican voters in your voting district."

(the "..." thing is actually in the letter - I didn't omit a section in the middle) I wonder how many Republicans are in my voting district. :)

I am curious how I ended up on the RNC Mailing List, but this could be fun! :D

    HAHA daaammn!!!

Maybe someone signed you up for Republican Risky Mail and put your name as "Bob Dole".

    It's all in good fun.

    See what else you get!!!

Maybe you also represent the many of 55,000,000 Publisher's ClearingHouse in your district too.

Actually, we get GOP stuff every year. I think I once signed up for something during the arena campaign to see what the opposition was mailing out and we've just gotten stuck on it.

It's that lady who you got in a car wreck with who was pissed that you had Bradley stickers on your car. She did it.

I've actually seen her at least 3 separate times in the last 2 years driving. If anyone sees a red subaru stationwagon with the license place "AD" (Administrative Director, Governor's Mansion) circling Austin, I had a 5 mph wreck with her.

A couple of years ago, I got some mail from the Republican (can't remember his name) running against Hillary Clinton for the NY senate.

The fact he was asking for a donation for his NY campaign that would not benefit Texas whatsover made me mad. It was an anti-campaign.

I read their propaganda which included an envelope that stated the postage would be paid by them but a stamp would help offset their cost.

I enclosed a paperweight. I don't know if it ever got to them or if they paid the actual weight but I hope at the very least they crossed my name off their list.

    Major,

They did ask for $50 to go along with your opinion, right?
