    I just got back from a quick trip to Iceland last night.

    Awesome place. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in visiting. Here are some pictures I took while there.

    I loved the place for its scenic beauty as evidenced by Sland's awesome pics. It had a very Scotland Highlands/Northern Pakistan vibe throughout (remote terrain, ruggedness, green valleys, chill + wet air, etc.).

    However, I became bored after 2 weeks because I'm not that much of an outdoor vacation guy. Perhaps 5 days would've been better. Also, it was very, very expensive when I visited six years ago, but their economic problems in '08 may have lessened that a bit.

    My favorite go-to vacation spot which combines cool temperate climate and (cultural, lively) cities has to be Germany or Japan.
