    One of my formative political experiences was watching the Watergate Hearings every day after coming home from school... must have been 5th grade or so. I didn't understand nearly all that was happening, but was engrossed nonetheless. To this day, when I write speeches or presentations, I try to do it as if Sam Ervin was speaking... helps with cadence and all that other stuff you don't think about when you're only writing a paper.

    I've got 11 months on you, kiddie. ;)

    I remember all that crap on TV too. People think the OJ coverage was bad, but atleast we had cable and VCRs as an alternative with OJ; back then we had 3 network channels and about 3 others. :(

    I was glad when he was pardoned just so the torture would END.
