    Max that be offered under the new CBA is 5 years, not 7. If he walks, then yes, 4 is the max.

    Marc Stein said his source says the Charlotte and Portland are both ready to offer 4 year max deals to Lopez. So either Nets will have to offer him 5th year or maybe lose him.

    This is why Nets MUST move today. They either have to complete sign-and-trade for Howard with Lopez going to ORL or sign Lopez to keep him
